The whole job in five seconds. The old covering comes off back to the rafters, new membrane is run out and treated battens are set to the gauge, then natural slate is laid up the slope and dressed in against both stacks. Everything in the middle of that clip is the part you never see once the slate is on, and it is the part that decides whether the roof stays dry.
